DeGray Amateur Radio Club, Inc.

The DeGray Amateur Radio Club, Inc. (D.A.R.C.) is a non-profit Arkansas corporation of licensed amateur radio operators. Its primary purpose is to provide an avenue for education of its members and the general public of amateur radio and to provide radio communications for public service activities.

D.A.R.C. members provide radio communications to various organizations in Clark County, including, the Clark County Office of Emergency Services, the American Red Cross, and the Local Emergency Planning Committee.

During and after the March 1, 1997 tornado that destroyed a major portion of Arkadelphia members of D.A.R.C. provided emergency communications between damaged areas and emergency response agencies and utility companies. The Clark County Office of Emergency Services utilizes D.A.R.C. to provide an early warning of severe weather to the citizens of Clark County.

D.A.R.C. and its members own and operate a network of VHF and UHF repeaters and receiver links that enhances their efforts to provide these vital communications to the citizens of Clark County.

D.A.R.C. membership is open to the public. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at the OES/Municipal Court Building in Arkadelphia. For more information contact Blake Batson.
